In addition to the crew for the trip to Sydney were Colin's wife Judy and six month old daughter, Diana: "Early in 1987, I had a wonderful surprise when his [Colin Philp's] daughter, now married and living in Hobart, came to visit me at the Battery point boatyard. It was great to see her, and even though she obviously could not remember the journey, we had a great deal of catching up to do.."
