In 1965 the yard built and launched a yacht that is still an outstanding ocean and harbour racing competitor and a yacht Jock Muir describes as "one of the most beautiful boats I have ever been involved with" - the 46-foot Balandra. Designed by Peter Nicholson from Camper and Nicholson of the UK, she was built for Robert Crichton-Brown of Sydney.
