In 1962 Muir's launched Salacia, a Sparkman & Stephens design. She was 41-foot long and built as a race-cruiser for Bob Rusk, of Sydney. She was later sold to Arthur Byrne. She was built of Huon pine with a teak deck structure covered with marine ply. Jock sailed to Sydney with the owner on the boat's delivery trip: "I met him [Bob Rusk] again a few years ago in 1989 after he had bought Dr Des Cooper's Lotus Eater. I believe Salacia is still in Sydney."
